Airu later distanced himself from her because he believed he could not protect her. The mix desires of killing the priest and running away with his sister tend to die down when he realized how it might get his dear sister in trouble. His hatred shot up when he found out the Priest touched his sister's body with his dirty hands. Airu grew to hate the adults around them especially the Priest who took them in.
